Anal Fistulas

What are anal fistulas?

An anal fistula is an abnormal communication from the bowel on the inside and the skin around the back passage. The cause discharge (mucous and blood) and can result in a painful abscess. They can be quite difficult to treat and this almost always involves a simple operation; either to cut the fissure out or place a small plastic drain (seton) which can settled the symptoms down.

If you want to discuss treatment then please contact my secretary to book an appointment.
